Yogurt cake recipe

Do not throw away the yogurt cup has it will serve as a measuring cup for the entire recipe

1 yogurt – I used the West Country Luxury Yogurt – Elsanta Strawberries & Cream from M&S which is 250ml so a good size cup for the recipe and the flavour is delicious

3 measures of sugar (use the yogurt cup)

3 measures of flour (use the yogurt cup)

1 measure of oil (use the yogurt cup)

4 eggs – you don’t need the separate the whites

1 tea spoon of baking powder I skipped this step has I used self-raising flour but you can use self-raising plus the baking powder, it’s up to you and how tall your baking tin is

Let’s do this

  1. Mix everything in a bowl with a hand mixerIMG_3429
  2. Grease the tin (with butter and flour) or use baking paper to line it
  3. Pre-heat oven to bake at 180 Celcius for 30 to 40 minutes in a round fluted bundt cake tin (the ones with a hole in the middle) or 50 minutes in a square or round tin.

Tip: the yogurt can be natural, flavoured or with fruit

Use a toothpick to check if the cake is baked
