To quit or to quit, there’s no question.

Hello,

I’m quitting smoking as of today.

I’ve smoked, what I hope to be, my last cigarette.

According to what I’ve been reading, it takes the body 3 days to stop craving nicotine, after that it’s all in your head.

Saturday morning, if I don’t do anything silly, I should be nicotine free.

I started smoking out of peer pressure and I always lived surrounded by smokers, it’s been 20 years and i had enough, it’s becoming clearer every day that I don’t want to be attached and constricted to a vice / addiction.

I know that i’ll most likely gain some weight but i’ll also be able to breathe better so i can do some exercise.

Got my chewing gum, healthy snacks and fruit in my bag. Some green tea to help me detox, the Smokefree app from NHS and a bit of hope.

Lets see how far i can go.

If you have any tips or want to share your story or opinion I would love to hear from you.
Lots of love
